Moisture and wood contact
Persistent leaks, wet wood, and wood-to-soil contact deserve attention. Maintenance conditions can make inspection or prevention more difficult, but they do not identify the species by themselves.
Hidden inspection areas
Stored items, dense landscaping, concealed finishes, and inaccessible roof spaces can limit what an inspector can see. Ask the report to distinguish inspected areas from those that could not be reached.
Changes after treatment
Additions, paving, excavation, and landscaping can affect an existing treatment program. Keep the provider informed before disturbing treated soil or installed bait stations.
